Use the scrub 1-3 times a week in the shower or bath in preparation for body shaving. How does a chemical peel differ from a mechanical peel?
Mechanical peels usually contain fine granules made from various raw materials, such as fruit seeds, salts or bamboo granules, which are rubbed onto the skin during application to create an exfoliating effect. Chemical peelings, on the other hand, use different acids (AHA, BHA & PHA) and can therefore penetrate deeper into the skin to remove dead cells. Does the scrub and AHA acids make the skin thinner and more vulnerable?
No, on the contrary: your skin is actually strengthened as the production of the skin's own components is stimulated. With regular use, only the horny layer (top layer of skin) becomes thinner. However, this process is important for the skin, as over time your top layer of skin becomes thicker and keratinized. This makes it increasingly difficult for nourishing substances to penetrate. Can I lose my tan by using the scrub?
As your tan is located in the deeper layers of the skin, it is not affected by a superficial exfoliation. On the contrary, your tanned skin will look even better. This is because the scrub removes horny cells that make your skin look tired and dull. This makes your skin appear more even and gives it a great glow.
The situation is different when using a self-tanner. This type of tan sits on the upper layer of the skin and is increasingly removed by exfoliation. But here too, it is important to exfoliate again and again and apply fresh self-tanner if necessary so that the pores do not become clogged and the skin appears dull.
